Surveillance video captured the moment a Tennessee pastor fatally shot a gun-toting suspect in the middle of a church service, possibly saving the lives of his parishioners.
Nashville police were called to the Nashville Light Mission Pentecostal Church on Sunday amid reports of an active shooter, affiliated with Fox, WZTV reported. Video obtained by the media shows the suspect, identified by police as Dezire Baganda, 26, seated in front before getting up and walking towards the altar where the pastor was praying with several members.

The suspect is seen pulling a gun from the back waistband of his pants and waving the gun in the air. Some worshipers in the back benches are starting to duck in an attempt to get out of the way.
He allegedly claimed he was Jesus and said all churches and schools were to be “shot,” according to the report.
The man is seen speaking to the congregation when the pastor circles the suspect’s right and comes up from behind to tackle him to the ground.
Other church members helped disarm him and hold him until the police arrived. Others are seen leaving the building.
Authorities said the gun was loaded but never fired. Baganda reportedly told church members to stand up as he brandished his gun.
The pastor says Baganda is not a member of the church but has attended services before, police said.
