In a viral video seen by Peoples Gazette on Wednesday, protesters expressed their frustration with the dire state of the country under President Muhammadu Buhari.
Protesters accused RCCG authorities of conspiring with the regime to make life difficult for southerners.
They also lamented the frequent killings of Yorubas and Igbos across the country.
“You are co-conspirators. RCCG are conspirators. We are Yoruba and Igbo here. They are killing our people. We will no longer accept this. Nonsense,” one of the protesters said in the viral video.
Holding up signs with pictures of the killings in different parts of the country, protesters called for an end to the ongoing killings in the country.
“That is exactly what is happening. You are sitting here in the United States. This is what is happening. We will no longer accept this,” said another protester.
Although Mr Buhari took power in 2015 with the promise of solving Nigeria’s protracted insecurity, particularly occasioned by the Boko Haram insurgency and the atrocities of the killer herdsmen, the deterioration of security has worsened under his direction.
