Famous pastor Joel Osteen’s Sunday church service took a bizarre turn when three abortion activists showed up at his Texas megachurch and stripped down to their underwear.
People had started to sit at Lakewood Church after Osteen had finished leading a prayer when a woman stood up, took off her dress and shouted, “It’s my body, my fucking of choice!”
A second woman then stripped off her dress and shouted, “Flip Roe back, damn it no!” followed by a third woman who took off her clothes and joined in the chanting.
Realizing what was happening, Osteen paused what he had planned to discuss and said, “I am happy to be in the house of the Lord with people of faith.”
“We love everyone,” he said. “We just thank the Lord that he’s in control and has everything in his hands, and I think as long as I keep talking, you can’t hear what everyone else is saying.”
The three Texas Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights activists were quickly escorted away by church security and video footage shared on Twitter by the abortion rights group shows worshipers applauding their removal.
Wearing the color that represents the pro-choice movement, the women were dressed in white sports bras with green handprints on them and waved green bandanas as they sang.

Continuing to demonstrate outside the church in pink underwear and heels, the first woman to strip said she decided to protest inside a Christian church because pro-life activists didn’t had no problem showing up at abortion clinics and doctor’s offices to protest the controversial procedure.
“Christians are not afraid to disturb us in clinics, in doctors’ surgeries [where we’re] trying to get essential health care so why don’t we bother you in your own home where the laws come from?” she said.
A recently leaked Supreme Court draft opinion found that the conservative majority is likely to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade case, which established a federal right to abortion. The issue of abortion would be left to the states, with each state determining its own restrictions on abortion.
Lakewood Church did not respond to media requests for comment on the protest.
